Hi! I’m Sumaila (Su-may-la), founder of rōz, a jewelry brand born from a desire to express creativity and individuality through thoughtful, everyday details. I love exploring cities and drawing inspiration from the energy, textures, and cultures I encounter along the way. As an American Muslim and Pakistani, constantly moving between cultures and cities, I’ve learned to blend influences from around the world. rōz, which means “everyday” in Urdu, allows people to express themselves seamlessly, from work to dinner with friends, through pieces that can be subtle or bold, layered or minimal, and that complement both Western and Eastern aesthetics.

By background, I am a designer, architect, and urban planner, and I bring the same curiosity and attention to detail to my work with rōz. I started the business inspired by my father, a small business owner, and embrace every challenge and learning along the way. I love coffee shops, community, and the energy of entrepreneurship.
